Heading back to Nashville, Tennessee for Beazer Homes to finish work at Riverwood model home. I will go to Charleston, S.C. for Terri Kemp Interiors first week of May. Hopefully this trip I eat at some of the wonderful restaurants in the Historic District. I absolutely love Charleston!

Working on my last job of the year. I'm in Houston for Beazer Homes working with Cristi Curlee Holcombe. Working on some faux finishes in the dining room and living room.

I am so grateful for the work this past year working for all the wonderful designers at Beazer Homes and also for Terri Kemp of Terri Kemp Interiors. It's a joy and a blessing traveling around the country playing with paint and hanging out with great women!

Just finished my Atlanta job today and it turned out well. The dining room started with a burnt orange base color and I fauxed on top of that with a walnut stain and seal glaze. I am heading to Virgina early December and one more trip to Dallas after that for Beazer Homes.

Just finished my work in Houston for Beazer and now back to Indiana for a few days. Heading to Raleigh next week for Beazer Homes and Terri Kemp Interiors. I'm very excited to be working on a Habitat for Humanity project at my former grade school in Indiana, Glenwood Leadership Academy. I will be painting a mural of the continents showcasing housing around the globe. Some of the students will assist in the completion of the mural.

Just finished working for Terri Kemp Interiors in Williamsburg, VA for HHHunt. Terri did a fabulous job as usual decorating the model home in White Hall.

Working on a Beazer model home in Leesburg, Va the same week. Large argyle pattern around the room in the study. Pictures up soon.

Finished working for Beazer Homes in Myrtle Beach. Had a great time working for Hallie Keneda and Dawn Kines. The model home turned out great. Painted large spheres in the master bathroom and a faux finish in another bathroom. Will be back in Myrtle next month.

Finished my last mural job of the year for Beazer Homes in Indianapolis. Beazer's design team will start traveling to New Mexico and Arizona next year. I'm excited about working in those states. Hope everyone has a great holiday season and especially a great New Year. On to 2010!

Heading to Indianapolis for Beazer Homes next week. It looks like Beazer is picking up some of McCar Homes unfinished projects. That looks promising. I found out the beazer design team I work for will start working in Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico next year. Can't wait for that happen. Work is picking up again after a very slow year.

Putting the finishing touches on my mural in the model home for Beazer Homes in Atlanta. I painted a faux finish in the powder room and an alphabet mural in the girls room. Random circles of varying sizes around the room with letters in different shapes and sizes in each circle.
Very colorful and fun. Then back to Indiana to prepare for the feast next Thursday!

Traveling to Richmond and Myrtle Beach the week of Sept. 14. Richmond first for Terri Kemp Interiors and then a drive down to Myrtle for Beazer Homes. Mostly childrens rooms on this trip with one faux finish job for the master bath for Beazer. A little R&R on the beach afterwards. Yeah!!

Heading to Indianapolis on Monday, the 18th, to work for Beazer Homes. Painting two childrens rooms and faux painting the dining room. The trip to Richmond and Maryland was tiring but got everything done and they were happy with my work. I will go to Charlotte, N.C. the week of the 23 to work for Terri Kemp Interiors on a project there. My friend Eric will go with me and help with driving and setup. He's not an artist but he can assist with the faux finishes which is a BIG help. After a year long slump work is picking up again!! Yeah.

Heading back to Nashville on Sunday to faux paint for Terri Kemp Interiors. Going to paint the master bath, dining room and powder room for a Phillips Builders model home. In the next few weeks I will be painting in Virginia, Maryland, Charlotte and Indianapolis. Work is picking up again in the building industry at least where model homes are concerned.

I had my booth at Babypalooza today in Evansville and had a great time. I met a lot of really nice people and many new and soon-to-be moms. The event was a success and turned out to be a really pretty day instead of rain like everyone thought there would be.

Working in Durham, North Carolina this week for Beazer Homes. Really cute girls room with a whimsical owl motif. The boys room is lego oriented. Not sure yet on the outcome there.....

The upcoming Beazer Homes model will be fun to work on next week in Raleigh. I will be painting for Dawn Kines on three rooms there. There will be two kids rooms and a faux finished powder room. I will post the pictures as soon as I finish the job and keep you posted of other jobs in the works. Hopefully things are turning around for everyone.

Here are some pictures from a Lennar model home in Jacksonville, Florida I painted in for Chandler Design. The handpainted headboard was for a teen girls bedroom with a Moroccan theme. An orange throw was added later to cover most of the white spread to bring in more color. It was a lot of fun to paint on and Wendy Chandler always does a great job on her models.

Getting ready for my trip on the road for Beazer Homes. I will be painting in their new model homes in Raleigh and Atlanta in April. I will be painting childrens rooms and a faux finish or two to add punch and interest where needed.

It's never a dull moment working on the models homes especially when the designers are doing their magic, window treatments are going up, landscaping is going down, furniture moving in and me painting in the middle of it all. It can be hectic at times but I love it. I work with very talented designers and together we come up with one of a kind rooms that add a lot of fun and interest to the homes we work on.

This past January I painted in a new model for Lennar Homes in Jacksonville , Florida working for Chandler Designs.

I have been painting murals around the country for the last fifteen years. I have worked for many building companies including Beazer Homes (14 yrs.), McCar, HHHunt and Lennar. The majority of my work has been in childrens room but not limited to that. Many bonus rooms and finished basements are adorned with my art that cover a wide range of themes and motifs for all ages.
